» Day 1 to Day 2: LONDON TO KATHMANDU
Overnight flight from London to Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to your hotel.
» Day 3: KATHMANDU
After breakfast there may be an opportunity to take an optional scenic 1 hour mountain flight (weather permitting and payable locally) offering magnificent views of Mount Everest and other Himalayan peaks. Kathmandu has attracted visitors for centuries and we include a half day tour of the city's cultural highlights including Durbar Square and the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa, with its mysterious Buddha's eyes. (B)
» Day 4: BHADGAON & DHULIKHEL
Learn a little more about the history and culture of Nepal as we visit the ancient Newar city of Bhadgaon en route to Dhulikhel. Famous for its views of the Himalayan ranges, Dhulikhel is popular for the often spectacular sunrise and sunset. Overnight at Dwarika’s Himalayan Shangri-La. (B)
» Day 5: POKHARA
After breakfast continue overland to Pokhara. Set amid high mountain peaks and snow-fed rivers, this is one of the most picturesque areas in the country. (B)
» Day 6: POKHARA
This morning take a boat ride on the stunning Phewa Lake before a city tour of Pokhara. The remainder of the time is at leisure - you may wish to go on one of the local short but challenging walks, or perhaps to enjoy the hospitality of one of the many lakeside restaurants and cafes, with panoramas of the incomparable Machhappuchre (Fish Tail Mountain). » Day 7 to Day 8: BEGNAS LAKE
Travel onwards for 2 nights at Begnas Lake Resort, which we have chosen as a base from which to take gentle walks with astounding views of the high Himalayan peaks. The walks are designed to be suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness but the hotel's beautiful setting also makes it an ideal location for those looking to relax. (B,L,D)
» Day 9: KATHMANDU
Return by air to Kathmandu for an overnight stay. (B)
» Day 10: KATHMANDU TO LONDON
Transfer to the airport for your flight to London. (B)
