» Day 1: LONDON TO THE DEAD SEA
Depart London Gatwick for your flight to Aqaba. On arrival transfer (approx 3½ hours) to the Dead Sea for a 3 night stay. (D)
» Day 2: DEAD SEA AND AMMAN
This morning is at leisure to enjoy a float in the salty waters of the lowest place on earth and even treat yourself to a free body mud mask taken from the seabed. In the afternoon take an excursion to the capital, Amman. Explore the oldest area of the city visiting Roman ruins, temples and the Royal Automobile Museum. In the evening enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. (B,D)
» Day 3: JERASH, UMM QAIS & THE JORDAN VALLEY
After breakfast head to Jerash, the best preserved Roman city of the Decapolis (a commercial league of 10 Greco-Roman cities). Walk around the ruins of ancient temples and discover the remarkably well-preserved market place. During your visit take the opportunity to watch a performance of a Roman Army Chariot Experience* in the ancient hippodrome including a classical 7 lap chariot race. Afterwards drive north to Umm Qais and enjoy the splendid views over Lake Tiberias (Sea of Galilee) and the Golan Heights. From here explore the Acropolis, a Byzantine church and Greco-Roman tombs before heading back to the Dead Sea via the Jordan Valley. (B,D)

» Day 4: MOUNT NEBO & MADABA
Today the morning is at leisure. In the afternoon drive along part of the Kings' Highway to Mount Nebo. This holy site dates back to 12th century BC and is believed to be the site of Moses' burial. Head onwards to the charming village of Madaba, where you will see the wonderful mosaic map of ancient Palestine on the floor of the Greek Orthodox church of St George. Transfer to the town of Wadi Mousa, just outside Petra, for a 2 night stay. (B,D)
» Day 5: PETRA
Today we take you through the stunning As-Siq gorge with your anticipation growing as you head towards the magnificent, ancient city of Petra. Emerging from the shadows of the gorge, you will be confronted by the breathtaking sight of the Treasury carved into the red sandstone rock face. Spend the rest of the day exploring the enchanting ruins, visiting royal tombs, streets of facades and the majestic Monastery all hewed from the rose red sandstone.
» Day 6: WADI RUM
Spend your morning at leisure and at noon head off for an exciting desert adventure in the haunting wilderness of Wadi Rum. For that true Lawrence of Arabia experience, ride into the desert in a 4x4 (much faster than a camel!) before dinner in a Bedouin camp. Continue onwards to the Red Sea for 2 nights at the Marina Plaza Hotel in Tala Bay. (B,D)

Enjoy a full day at leisure at the Marina Plaza Hotel in Tala Bay. (B,D)
» Day 8: AQABA TO LONDON
Morning at leisure before transferring to Aqaba airport for your return flight to London Gatwick. (B)
