The island has a fully equipped watersports centre and dive school, catering for the beginner or the qualified diver. Optional excursions include snorkelling safaris, night fishing, dolphin safaris and deep sea fishing.
Nestled in the centre of the island is an Indian spa offering a range of relaxing treatments (at extra cost).
The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Set on the white sand beach, the Lighthouse bar is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing drink. The beer, soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, selected wines, spirits and daytime snacks served in the Lighthouse bar are not included in the price.
Accommodation
Velidhu Island Resort has a total of 100 rooms in individual thatched rondavels scattered amidst the island's 19 acres of lush vegetation or situated on stilts over the lagoon.
Standard bungalows are set close to the beach and are attractively decorated. Each air-conditioned bungalow offers en suite bathrooms with shower (hot and cold desalinated water), mini bar, ceiling fan and delightful terrace overlooking the gardens.
The spacious and luxurious water bungalows are built on wooden stilts above a blue lagoon. All water bungalows have private balconies offering picturesque views and a small glass floor viewing window to watch the fish swim below. Prices on request.
