Africa Climate

CLIMATE/SEASON

EAST AFRICA: For East Africa there are two rainy seasons, the long rains from March through to May and the short rains from November to December. Whilst not considered the optimum time to visit, the rainy seasons mean less visitors, cheaper prices and lush scenery.

SOUTH AFRICA: South Africa really is an all year destination. Summer (November through to February) offers the best weather but winters are generally pleasant for those used to the British climate.

BEST TRAVELLING PERIOD

A massive continent, the best travelling period varies. For East Africa September is generally considered the best time to visit, whereas in South Africa it is from October through to March.
