CURRENCY

CUBA: The official tourist currency is the Convertible Peso (CUC), which may only be obtained in Cuba. Euros and Pounds Sterling can be exchanged for the CUC in Cuba. US Dollar/banks/credit cards and travellers cheques with links to the US are banned.

GRENADA: Eastern Caribbean Dollar which is tied to the US dollar and the US dollar is accepted everywhere although change will be given in local currency.

ST LUCIA: Eastern Caribbean Dollar which is tied to the US dollar.

PASSPORT/VISA

CUBA: British passport holders require a visa to enter Cuba.

GRENADA/ST LUCIA: British passport holders do not require a visa.

CLIMATE/SEASON

CUBA: Warm tropical year round climate. Increased rainfall, humidity and tropical storms can be expected from May to October. The best time to visit is January to May when you can expect warm dry weather and fewer visitors.

GRENADA:  Enjoying a warm tropical climate with average temperatures of 28°C. The rainy season runs from June to November.

ST LUCIA: St Lucia enjoys a warm tropical climate with gentle trade winds blowing throughout the year. As with all tropical Caribbean climates rain may occur between June and November.
