Giving Something Back
Tourism can be a major benefit to many destinations and some of our customers have expressed an interest in doing something extra to assist the communities that you visit. Here at the Travel Collection we try to offer an insight into local life in the destinations we offer, but with the launch of this new scheme we are pleased to provide our customers with the chance to do a little more. Working with community partnerships, local schools and environmental projects our schemes are designed to allow you to give something back to the communities which you visit.
Each scheme will be unique and individually tailored to a local community's needs. In most cases it will involve an optional excursion to see the work funded by 'Giving Something Back', some of the proceeds from which will go directly to the project in question. Best of all, the Travel Collection will match the money raised by clients going on these excursions, to ensure that the local communities that host us so well benefit directly from our visits.
Our first project is the adoption of a local village near Habarana in Sri Lanka, which anyone on our Elephants & Spices tour will have the chance to see, whilst at the same time contributing to the on-going improvements to the quality of life of the community.
