Day 1 : London / Nairobi

Daylight flight to Nairobi. On arrival transfer to the Holiday Inn Mayfair Court.

Day 2 : Nairobi / Samburu

Early this morning, set off on safari, driving north, to the west of Mount Kenya and across the equator. Enjoy your first afternoon game viewing in the Samburu National Reserve before arriving at Samburu Lodge for a 2-night stay.

Day 3 : Samburu

Morning and afternoon game drives and time to relax at Samburu Lodge.

Day 4 : Samburu/Treetops

Leave Samburu after breakfast, and travel south to the Aberdare Mountains. Lunch at the Outspan Hotel in Nyeri, before continuing the short distance to world famous Treetops in time for afternoon tea on the rooftop terrace. Watch the animals come down to the waterhole and salt licks.

Day 5 : Treetops / Lake Naivasha

After an early morning call and cup of tea, return to Outspan for breakfast. Then continue, via Thomson's falls, to Lake Nakuru. As well as the fascinating birdlife, it is here that you will have the best chance of seeing a black rhino. Overnight at the Lake Hotel, Naivasha.

Day 6 : Lake Naivasha / Masai Mara

Enjoy a morning in this lovely setting by the lake. After lunch, drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve for a 3-night stay at Keekorok Lodge.

Day 7 - 8 : Masai Mara

The vast plains of the Mara stretch to the Tanzanian border where they join the famous Serengeti, in what is almost one great reserve covering an area of over 6,000 square miles. The Mara is home to countless thousands of animals. Head out for morning and afternoon game drives. There is also the opportunity to take our optional balloon safari over the Masai Mara.

Day 9 : Masai Mara / Nairobi / London

Return to Nairobi for your late evening, overnight flight. Day rooms are available at the Holiday Inn (at a supplement) if you would like somewhere to rest before your flight. Alternatively continue to the beaches of the Indian ocean with our optional extension to Malindi.
