Day 1:
London to Arusha
Depart London Heathrow for your overnight flight (via Nairobi to Arusha).
Day 2:
Arusha
On arrival into Arusha transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure or you may decide to take our optional excursion (£10) to visit the local village of Ngresi, where you can learn about the traditional ways of life.

Day 3 to Day 4:
Ngorongoro
Drive west from Arusha towards the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. With its steep sided bowl formed millions of years ago when a volcano collapsed, the crater is one of the finest and most picturesque settings for game viewing. We include a game drive, descending down to the crater floor to view the wildlife which includes lion, elephant, rhino, cheetah and hyena.

Day 5:
Ngorongoro to Serengeti
After breakfast continue into the heart of the Serengeti National Park. With its wide-open spaces, animal filled landscapes and clear blue skies it exemplifies many people's vision of a perfect safari setting. The park is 5,000 square miles of plains, plateau and woodlands. Amongst the wildlife found here are lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo as well as an array of other mammals and birds. After lunch there is time to relax before a late afternoon game drive.

Day 6:
Serengeti
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, with the chance to relax and enjoy the lodge and its surroundings between. There is also the option (for the early risers) to enjoy a balloon safari over the endless plains of the Serengeti (from £245 per person) - please note, due to the popularity of these flights we recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment.
Day 7:
Serengeti to Lake Manyara
Head for Lake Manyara National Park. En route stop at Olduvai Gorge, known as 'the cradle of mankind', it was here that some of the oldest human remains were discovered by the eminent anthropologists Dr Louis Leakey and his wife Mary. After a tour of the site continue to Lake Manyara for a two night stay.

Day 8:
Lake Manyara
This morning leave the comfort of your vehicle for a guided walk along the escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara. Your guide is a local Masai warrior who will explain how his tribe use the numerous plants that are found in the area. After lunch enjoy a game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 8:
Arusha to London
After an early breakfast depart for Arusha, stopping en route for a picnic lunch. On arrival transfer to the airport for your return flight to London or onwards to Zanzibar. Please note for clients returning to London we advise pre-booking a day room at the Dik Dik hotel to avoid a lengthy wait at the airport
