On this tour visit some of the major sites, which has made Argentina famous around the world. Begin your tour in the capital Buenos Aires, this colourful, cosmopolitan city has plenty to offer for everyone, with dancing and football living on the streets. This will also be your first experience of the fantastic food available in Argentina, try an Empanada in La Boca for a real taste of Buenos Aires.
Fly north to the glorious Iguazu Falls, nestled between the Argentine and Brazilian border. Upon seeing Iguazu, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed 'Poor Niagara'! Gargantuan as compared to North America's Niagara Falls. This is a amazing sight to behold as Iguazu is rivaled only by Victoria Falls which separates Zambia and Zimbabwe in Africa. Take time to explore around the 270 separate falls which make up the whole system.
The Andes mountains is you next destination and with one of Argentina's largest cities nestled here, there is plenty to do. Mendoza is no just a stop over for climbers accessing Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas, it has many other outdoor activities, such as hiking, rafting, skiing and horse riding. Although the main thing that makes Mendoza famous is its beautiful wine, this maybe due to the high altitude and low humidity.
This tour looks at some of the sites of Argentina and give you a sight, a smell, a sound, a feel and a taste of this fascinating and contrasting country.
