The Americas

Named after Amerigo Vespucci, the discoverer of the new world - the Americas stretch from the Arctic Circle in the North to Cape Horn in the South.

This is a land of spectacular natural wonders: the driest desert, the deepest canyon, the highest waterfall; and ancient civilizations: the Maya, the Aztecs and the Incas, who have bequeathed some of the world's most impressive archaeological sights. Our selection of tours take you to some of our most memorable places: The Galapagos Islands, set out in the Pacific Ocean, whose unique eco-system inspired Darwin's theories on evolution; the high mountains of the Andes, providing a spectacular backbone to the continent of South America; the hot and steamy Amazonian rainforest, spread between 9 countries; the Incan sites of Peru, including the famous lost citadel of Machu Picchu; the magnificent falls of Iguacu set on the border of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay; and the vibrant cities of Rio, Santiago and Buenos Aires.
