Day 1 : London / Havana
Flight from London to Havana. On arrival transfer to the Chateau Miramar Hotel located overlooking the Straits of Florida in Havana's Miramar district for 2 nights.
Day 2 : Havana
Day at leisure in Havana.
Day 3 : Cienfuegos
After breakfast drive through the endless sugarcane plantations to the island's south coast and the charming city of Cienfuegos. Spend the afternoon exploring the city on a guided tour visiting Tomas Terry Theatre, the cathedral and Jose Marti Park, before lunch in a local restaurant. Stay 2 nights at the beautifully restored colonial Hotel La Union located right in the centre of the city. The hotel is built around two shady courtyards with a fountain and coffee shop. There is also a rooftop terrace and attractive swimming pool for relaxing. Rooms are well designed and feature antique furniture and en-suite bathrooms.
Day 4 : Cienfuegos
Day at leisure in Cienfuegos, or take advantage of the optional excursions to the stunning waterfalls and mountain scenery of El Nicho, or a boat ride around the Bay of Cienfuegos.
Day 5 : Cienfuegos to Sancti Spiritus
Leave the hotel to visit the Botanical Gardens and continue to Hacienda Las Vegas to enjoy a scenic walk to a local farm and then onwards to a beach with the opportunity to swim in the warm waters of the Caribbean and enjoy a lunch. After transfer to Sancti Spiritus and to the centrally located colonial style mansion Hostal el Rijo and stay for 2 nights.
Day 6 : Trinidad
Travel to the historical heartland of Cuba and to the preserved colonial town of Trinidad. Step back in time as you walk along bumpy cobblestone streets, exploring old colonial buildings, handicraft markets and museums. The town has been carefully restored in parts and is World Heritage listed by UNESCO. Lunch is included in a local restaurant.
Day 7 : Sancti Spiritus/Jibacoa
Leave Sancti Spiritus and enroute visit the revolution town of Santa Clara. Enjoy a city tour including a stop at the Che Mausoleum. Continue to the beautiful and tranquil setting of Jibacoa and the Breezes Jibacoa Resort. Set on a long stretch of powder white sand beach against a backdrop of lush green mountains, this resort is the perfect place to relax after your tour.
Day 8 : Havana/London
Transfer to Havana airport for return overnight flight to London or extend your stay.
