El Yarey:

With its high vaulted roof and timber frame design, the main building is reminiscent of an African safari lodge. It is charming, relaxed and easy-going - perfect for those who like to leave the world of TV and technology behind. When the electricity falters, the Tilley lamps come on; without TV, people chat, read and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a swimming pool, bar and restaurant serving typical wholesome local food using fresh seasonal ingredients.

There are 14 rooms in total: 12 standard in 2-storey units and 2 larger bungalow rooms, with the same facilities but set apart, through their own private gate (available for a small supplement). The rooms are simply furnished in bright fabrics, with twin beds and simple en-suite shower/wc. The rooms are equipped with air-conditioning units but as the electricity is unreliable in this remote area, they will not always function.

There is nothing 'organised' to do so during leisure time the choices are walking, chatting, relaxing. And when it rains, you can stay inside or go out walking and get wet! The rain is a lot warmer in Cuba! There is no TV, no phones in the rooms (there is a phone in the main reception). Tilley lamps for lighting are used in the event of a power cut (cooking is on gas).

Breakfast; lunch: main course (vegetarian alternative available) plus seasonal fruit; 3 course set dinner. Drinks: From 1100 to 2200: selected local soft drinks; fruit juice of the day; local beer. From 1800 to 2200: local rum.

Chateau Miramar, Havana:

Medium class hotel located in the Miramar district, overlooking the straits of Florida. The hotel is 20 minutes from the centre of Havana with a free shuttle to the old town twice daily.  The hotel has a good range of facilities and is an excellent base to explore Havana and the surrounding areas.

Brisas Guardalavaca:

A friendly superior medium class hotel on a glorious beach. Set amidst pretty gardens, the hotel enjoys a wonderful setting on its own private beach about one hour's drive from Holguin airport. Facilities include 5 restaurant, a selection of bars, 2 swimming pools including a Jacuzzi and a spa. Enjoy a range of free watersports including windsurfing, Pedaloes and snorkelling.

Travel Collection clients will be located in the Villas set in the pretty gardens. Clustered in two or three storey villa blocks, all rooms offer air conditioning, telephone, television, minifridge, bath or shower and balcony or terrace.

All meals: full breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks daily. All drinks: all local brand and selected international brand drinks, soft drinks, local beers and house wine.

Breezes Jibacoa, Jibacoa:

Set on a 300-metre long beach surrounded by mountains and only 70 km away from Havana, the resort not only provides an idyllic place to relax but also take advantage of some fascinating sightseeing nearby.

A medium sized resort with 250 rooms, all of the spacious bedrooms are air-conditioned and have 1 king-size bed or 2 single beds, telephone, private bath, and shower, television, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and balcony. (Seaview rooms are available at a supplement.)

Included meals/drinks at Breezes Jibacoa:
All meals, snacks; spirits, cocktails, beer, soft drinks, water, wine with lunch/dinner. Watersports include sailing, kayaks, windsurfing and an introductory dive lesson. Tips are also included.
