Fly from London Heathrow to Reykjavik and transfer to your chosen hotel for three nights.
Day 2:
The full-day Golden Circle tour includes Thingvellir National Park, site of the old Viking Parliament, Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall.
Day 3:
Optional 'South Shore Adventure' visiting coastal villages, waterfalls and original homesteads.
Day 4:
Travel via beautiful Borgarfjordur and the hot springs of Deildartunguhver, the historic farm site at Reykholt and the falls at Barnafossar. Three nights at the Hotel Olafsvik.
Day 5:
Morning walk to the holy mountain of Helgafall. Optional late afternoon fjord cruise to the islands of Breidhafjourdur with seafood buffet.
Day 6:
Tour the Snaefellsnes Peninsula: the yellow sand, black lava beach and wooden church of Buoir, birdlife and rock formations of Djuparlonssandur and Snaefellsjokull.
Day 7:
Return to Reykjavik for an overnight stay.
Day 8:
Visit geothermal Blue Lagoon for a refreshing swim in warm mineral-rich waters. Continue to airport for return flight.
