Day 1 : London / Tokyo

Overnight flight from London to Narita

Day 2 : Tokyo

Upon arrival transfer by airport bus to the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 : Tokyo

Today enjoy a tour of Tokyo with an English speaking guide. To offer extra authenticity, we’ll be utilising Tokyo’s public transport. Ports of call will include the Meiji Jingu shrine, Omotesndou street, Asakusa kannon temple, Nakamise shopping arcade and Akihabara electric town.

Day 4 : Hakone

After breakfast, pick up from hotel and drive to Kamakura and Hakone. Upon arrival at Kamakura, visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Komachidori Street. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu is Kamakura's most important shrine. The shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, the patron god of the Minamoto family and of the samurai. Proceed to Hakone and take a boat cruise on Lake Ashi, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Fuji (weather permitting). From here visit Komagatake Ropeway and Owakundani Valley. Transfer to your ryokan in Hakone for 1 night. Please note your main luggage will be transferred from Tokyo to Nagoya so you will need to take an overnight bag with you. Dinner is included on this night.

Day 5 : Nagoya

Enjoy a half day tour of Mount Fuji. Visit the 5th station of Mount Fuji (depending on traffic and weather conditions), visit Lake Kawaguchi and Asama Shrine. Drive to Mishima station and take the JR super express train (bullet train) to Nagoya. Arrive Nagoya and walk to the Castleplaza Hotel. Lunch is included today.

Day 6 : Nagoya

A day at leisure to explore Nagoya on your own or take an optional excursion.

Day 7 : Kyoto

Walk to Nagoya station and take the train to Kyoto. Upon arrival at Kyoto, take the train to Nara. Enjoy a full day visit of Nara. Located Located south of Kyoto, UNESCO-Listed Nara was the capital of Japan in the eighth century AD, and is a major Buddhist centre. Top billing is the Todai-ji Temple – vast wooden edifice built in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddhist temples of Japan. It houses a colossal bronze statue of Buddha and Nara Park. Take the train back to Kyoto, upon arrival walk to the New Miyako hotel. Your luggage will be picked up from the Castleplaza hotel and taken to the New Miyako hotel in Kyoto.

Day 8 : Kyoto

Day at leisure to explore Kyoto.

Day 9 : Kyoto

Transfer by airport bus to Kansai airport for your return flight back to London.
