Day 1 - 4: London to Bangkok
Overnight flight from London to Bangkok. Spend 3 nights at the Arnoma Hotel, well located for Bangkok's shopping, sights and nightlife. Opt for a longboat excursion along the city's network of klongs (canals) on the Thonburi side, gorge on Thai food, and visit some temples or shop in the city's many emporiums and markets. The choice is yours!
Day 5: Bangkok to Siem Reap
Flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap, the gateway to the temples of Angkor.
Day 6: Siem Reap
Enjoy a full day tour to Angkor. Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Stretching over some 400 square kms, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, dating from the 9th to the 15th century. They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations.
Day 7: Siem Reap
Enjoy a half-day tour by boat on Tonle Sap Lake. A combined lake and river system system of huge importance to Cambodia, Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and is an ecological hotspot that was designated as a UNESCO biosphere in 1997. Here, you'll have the opportunity to visit the floating village and enjoy the birdlife and activity along the shores.
Day 8 - 10: Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh
Continue to Ho Chi Minh by air. Set back from the delta formed by the Mekong River, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has retained its French colonial influences. Ever-entrepreneurial locals maintain its vibrancy. The streets are jam-packed chaotically busy markets and scooters often carrying whole families. Enjoy a half-day tour during your stay and leisure time to explore the markets of Cholon, the ancient Chinese quarter, the amazing colonial architecture and numerous museums.
Day 11: Bangkok
Fly to Bangkok for relaxation and perhaps some last-minute retail therapy or Thai cuisine.
Day 12: Bangkok to London
Return flight back to London or take one of our extensions
