Our hotel, the superior medium class Paul & Virginie, is named after a famous Mauritian love story. It lies along a small beach at the quiet village of Grand Gaube in the northeast of the island. The hotel is designed using local stone, thatch and wood, with 81 attractively furnished rooms in total: all are air-conditioned and have safe, TV, shower/wc, hairdryer and a balcony or terrace overlooking the pool or garden, out towards the ocean and offshore islands.
The hotel's main restaurant serves innovative Mauritian cuisine with local flavours and spices, but an a la Carte menu is also available at the beach restaurant. Enjoy afternoon tea and sunset cocktails at the St Geran Bar.
The hotel facilities include: 2 swimming pools; floodlit tennis court; a main restaurant - the 'Isle de France' - where breakfast and dinner are served; the beach restaurant - La Trinquette - open for lunch and dinner; main bar; and a beach bar.
