India & Indian Ocean

The Indian subcontinent is a land resplendent with colour: the green tea plantations of Sri Lanka; India's multi hued turbans and saris; brightly coloured prayer flags in Nepal; the turquoise seas of the Maldives and the white sand beaches of Mauritius.

India itself is a massive country - stretching from the high mountains of the Himalaya to the quiet backwaters of Kerala. It is somewhere that has to be visited, essentially because it is so different from anywhere else: a billion people, 330 million gods and a near fanatic devotion to cricket.

The teardrop shaped island of Sri Lanka is amongst our favourite places, its warm and friendly people make any visit to the island a pleasure whether your preference is relaxing on its beaches, exploring the cultural triangle or going on safari in the national parks.

The Indian Ocean islands of the Maldives are the perfect getaway destination - no news, no shoes just palm trees, white sand beaches and a chance to relax and unwind. Whilst Mauritius offers similar qualities but with excellent sightseeing amongst the green hills and colonial mansions of the island.
