Day 1: London/Kathmandu

Depart London and fly to Kathmandu arriving the following day.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to the medium class Shangri-La Hotel for a 2 night stay. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Kathmandu

After breakfast enjoy a tour of the city including the Durbar Temple complex, before climbing up the steps of the Swyambhunath Stupa - known as the Monkey Temple due to its confident inhabitants.

Continue in the afternoon to visit more of the city's multitude of sights including Hindu temples and Buddhist stupas, and the opportunity to haggle for bargains with the colourful traders.

Day 4: Kathmandu/Pokhara

Fly to Pokhara to enjoy some unsurpassed mountain vistas (weather permitting).

On arrival transfer to the medium class Shangri-La Hotel for 2 nights.

Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Pokhara

Today we include a half day tour of Pokhara, including the Bazaar before taking a boat ride on the stunning Phewa Lake. The remainder of the time is at leisure - you may wish to go on one of the local short but challenging walks, or perhaps to enjoy the hospitality of one of the many lakeside restaurants and cafes, with panoramas of the incomparable Machhappuchre (Fish Tail Mountain).

Day 6: Pokhara/Kathmandu

After breakfast fly back to Kathmandu for a day of leisure. Overnight at the Shangri-La Hotel.

Day 7: Kathmandu/Nagarkot

In the morning transfer from Kathmandu to the Fort Resort (2 hours) in time for the legendary sunset.

Day 8: Nagarkot

Rise early for the spectacular sunrise. After breakfast take an easy walk through some of the local villages (approximately 3 hours).

Have lunch at the Fort Resort and then spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 9: Nagarkot/London

After breakfast transfer back to Kathmandu for your flight back to London.
