Steeped in culture, Kerala is famous for performing arts including Kathakali, elaborate for its extraordinary make-up code and colourful costumes. Just a stone’s throw from Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) is the idyllically situated Poovar Island resort, a coastal haven of tropical tranquility cocooned amidst swaying coconut palms where rush hour traffic is just a rumour. Beyond the beach, The Western Ghats mountain range is ripe for exploration.

KERALA CLIMATE

Kerala experiences the South West monsoon from the end of April and continuing until early October. The coastal area of Kerala will be hot and humid with a comparatively high rainfall.
