The superior medium class Velidhu Island Resort has 80 rooms in individual thatched 'rondavels' (round bungalows). They are scattered amidst the island's 19 acres of lush vegetation and palm trees and are never more than a few yards from the beach.

All are air-conditioned (and also have ceiling fans), attractively furnished and have one double bed, private shower (hot and cold desalinated water)/wc and delightful terrace overlooking the gardens towards the sea.

The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Set on the white sand beach, The Lighthouse bar, is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing drink. Serving beer, soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, selected wines, spirits and daytime snacks (not included in the price).

The island has a fully equipped watersports centre and dive school, catering for the beginner or the qualified diver. Optional excursions include snorkelling safaris, night fishing, dolphin safaris and deep sea fishing.

Nestled in the centre of the Island is an Indian Spa offering a range of relaxing treatments (at extra cost).
