Day 1: London/Amman

Depart London Heathrow for Amman arriving late evening. Transfer to Movenpick Dead Sea Resort for a 3 nights stay.

Day 2: Dead Sea

Day at leisure in the Dead Sea where you will have the experience to float in the Dead Sea.

Day 3: Dead Sea

Either a day at leisure or take the optional full day excursion to Jerash, Madaba and Mount Nebo (From £60 per person).

Day 4: Dead Sea/Petra

Morning at leisure. At midday drive to the rose-red city of Petra, upon arrival check into the Movenpick Resort Petra. This evening you will gather with the chef of the Petra Kitchen to prepare an evening meal of typical Jordanian dishes.

Day 5: Petra/Sri Lanka

After breakfast you will be taken on a tour of the Nabatean city of Petra, which was carved out of sandstone about 2,000 years ago. The tour starts on horseback, passing by the Obelisk Tomb and them proceeding on foot through the Siq. In the afternoon transfer back to Amman International airport for your flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Day 6: Sri Lanka

After arriving into Colombo airport you will have a short transfer to the Tamarind Tree for breakfast and to freshen up. After breakfast leave for Kandy visiting the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage with lunch at the Pinnalanda rest en-route. After your visit finish the journey to Kandy and to the Chaaya Citadel for 2 nights.

Day 7: Kandy

Morning at leisure. After lunch you will have an afternoon visit to the Temple of the Tooth and enjoy an evening cultural show. Return to the Chaaya Citadel for dinner.

Day 8: Kandy/Nuwara Eliya

Morning sightseeing of Kandy including a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. After lunch transfer to Nuwara Eliya visiting a tea-plantation en-route. Stay at the St Andrews Hotel for 2 nights.

Day 9: Nuwara Eliya

Morning city tour of Nuwara Eliya, return to the hotel for lunch. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to take in the hotel surroundings or take a walk down to the market square.

Day 10: Nuwara Eliya/Sri Lanka Coast

After breakfast leave Nuwara Eliya via Kithulgala stopping for lunch where film "Bridge over the River Kwai" was filmed. Continue to the Ranweli Holiday Village for 3 nights.

Day 11-12: Sri Lanka Coast

Time at leisure at the Ranweli Holiday Village.

Day 13: Sri Lanka Coast/London

Transfer to Colombo airport for return flight to London via Amman.
